As we are a villa specialist, we only book private villas. We are therefore unable to
book your flights.
However, for your convenience we work with a friendly and professional travel agent here in London who is ATOL protected (it is essential that you book your air travel with an
agent that holds an ATOL licence – Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing).
Being ATOL
protected means that should the travel agent you book your air travel with go out of business, either whilst you are travelling or when you are on holiday, you will be protected and alternative flight arrangements will be offered.
Our Travel Agent will be pleased to provide you with very competitive rates.
If you would like a costing, please contact us.

Once you have booked your villa with Serendipity escapes,
your contact with us simply does not end here.
We also provide a PRIVATE transfer an air conditioned car or minibus to your villa.
If you require a quote for your transfer, please indicate on the Availability Form.
We highly recommend you take advantage of this service as self-driving in Sri Lanka is simply not recommended. If you however wish to make your own transfer arrangements to the
property, you are free to do so.
If you have booked your transfer with us, your English speaking driver will transfer you to your villa. On arrival, the villa owner, the manager or the managing agent will greet you and welcome you to your villa. A tour of the property will be conducted and you will be introduced to your staff.

Sri Lanka has so much to offer. The beautiful golden sands and the turquoise blue waters of the Indian Ocean are not the only attractions. The diversity of this small island is incredible.
Whether you are looking for history and culture dating back to ancient civilisations, or yearning for picture postcard scenery of the highlands where Tea plantations wrap around the hillside or you are simply craving for those idyllic beaches of the West coast, Sri Lanka has it all.
Though you cannot experience all what Sri Lanka has to offer in one trip, we do recommend that you take at least one excursion so you can appreciate the beauty of this land.
Once you have booked your villa through us, we will be happy to arrange excursions for you and suggest the best places to visit from your villa. We work with an excellent and reputable Handling Agent in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is a developing country. Therefore, medical facilities are not as advanced as in the western world. However, we feel that peace of mind is of paramount importance, especially where children and
the elderly are concerned.
Now there are a number of private hospitals in Colombo . One we have used and can recommend is the Apollo Hospital . This is a private hospital equalling western standards. Depending on the location of your villa, and the medical assistance needed, it is recommended that you drive to Colombo .
Please note, the outstations, where most of our villas are
located, are remote and have government hospitals with little facilities.
If you need medical assistance during your stay, please contact the villa owner or the manager and they will advice you of the nearest English speaking western medical doctor.
The villas may not be equipped with First Aid boxes, so we do recommend (For peace of mind) you take your own supplies of first aid materials.
For your comfort and safety, we recommend you take the following:
(Please also speak to your Pharmacist):
Relief for Diarrohea and dehydration; Citronella based Mosquito Repellents, plasters for cuts, Antiseptic cream, Insect bite cream, contact lens solutions, eye-wash solution (e.g. Optrex is not available in Sri Lanka), relief for heat rash (Aloe Vera gel is great for heat rash and sun burns), After sun cream and High Factor sun creams. If you require nappies, Pampers etc are available, however, the quality is very poor.
Children have very delicate and sensitive skin, so please make sure they wear sun cream at all times. The mid-day sun (until about 3:00pm ) is very strong, and we recommend you take a break from this heat and enjoy a siesta!
