Of Sri Lankan origin, with a European upbringing, I have a natural adoration for my birth country. With many early childhood memories of life in Colombo, followed by countless holidays there, Sri Lanka has a very special place in my heart. It is a place my own children now love and look forward to visiting each year.

Sri Lanka is not only a country with glorious beaches, breathtaking wildlife, and an ancient history dating back to 200 BC, it is also a country with a remarkable culture. There are very few places in the world that can offer all what Sri Lanka has to offer.

The many years of civil unrest, which has now thankfully ceased for over 2 years, has genuinely touched the lives of many Sri Lankans throughout the world. However, Sri Lanka has survived and is once again rebuilding itself. It is truly a land like no other. A destination I wish to share with you.

Serendipityescapes.com is for the discerning holidaymaker looking for that ‘something special’ from their holiday. We do not feature any of the package holiday hotels that exist in Sri Lanka . Our aim is to give you a taste of paradise with the freedom you deserve. All our villas are unique and offer something special for everyone, whether you are looking for breathtaking views, a tranquil setting, a private pool, a beach-front setting, or even a dreamy head massage in the comfort of your villa. Simply tell us what you are looking for, and we will do our best to arrange it for you.

I have personally inspected our collection of villas. I do not recommend villas that I have not seen. If a villa is not of a standard, I would expect on holiday, then you will not find it here. It is also not my intention to offer the most expensive villas in Sri Lanka . I have tried to find a cross section to suit all budgets and tastes. And most importantly, they are all clean and offer a standard of accommodation expected by western holidaymakers.

Along with my own classification system: Standard, Luxury and Premier we aim to offer you an unbiased view and will be happy to discuss each villa in detail with you.

As a Sri Lankan, I naturally want you to explore much of the island as there is much more to Sri Lanka than the just the beaches. The best balance would be to make your villa your base and take one or two excursions. I will be happy to recommend some tailor-made excursions to suit your mood and hearts desire.
